The weather in St. George is beautiful and calm throughout the winter. In fact the wind rarely blows from Novembe to March. Skies are blue and often cloudless and when clouds do arrive they usually pass by high overhead. St. George sits at 2,800 feet above sea level and is the lowest city (by elevation) in Utah. This makes St. George a temperate destination throughout the winter months and a warm place in the summer, a perfect place for waterskiing, wakeboarding and other watersports. St. George offers three excellent places for boating in the summer; Quail Lake State Park, Gunlock State Park and the newly created Sand Hollow State Park.
